Eating Out FAIL

I met up with a friend and we went to a cafe for lunch. I couldn't have refused to have anything, it would have made her feel awkward. I chose the cheapest things on the menu and feel OK about it, but tomorrow I'm going to make that when I go to the matsuri I don't eat anything.

My social life is bad for my good intentions.

Don't feel bad! You ate it (what was it) yesterday, today is a new day! Yesterday is in the past, you can't change it- you can change today. If you feel that eating out is your down fall, take some time today and figure out how you can prevent that in the future. What I do is, I have a notebook I carry with me in my purse with all the Point friendly foods for different restaurants I enjoy. When I go out, I take out my book and pick the item that will fit nicely into my day. I got the nutrition information from the website of the restaurant. If I can't find that, I do more research to find out what the points would be.

Remember, this journey isn't easy, it's not meant to be. It's a learning process, learning allows for mistakes- therefore you can learn to correct them!

When I have one of those situations, I just eat on the low side of my calorie range on the day before and after (if I know about it before, that is) and it seems to work out okay long-term.

The social stuff gets in the way sometimes, but a little caloric trade-off is worth it for spending time with friends!
